Going free (or very cheaply). One car
Just got myself a nice new motor, so the old ones going spare
Its an R reg Rover 114 (1.4 engine), petrol, 68K on the clock.
Little past its best and in need of a good service (no puns please Alex).
Has a fault with the lights that needs looking at but otherwise perfectly driveable. And its MOT'd til Feb (I think). The light problem is that sometimes the headlights cut out to sidelights for about 30 seconds. Not too much of a problem when you're on a lit road, but can be a bit hairy when you're on an unlit country road.
Its currently sitting in Saltdean, so unless anyone wants it Im probably just going to scrap it.
If no-one wants it then Im going to scrap it and get the tax back on it though cos thats worth about £50. (Hence the very cheap cos that's what it'll cost ya to have it)
I'm probably going to get rid of it at the weekend though, so let me know before then if you want it. Ta
So. A car for £50 if there are any takers

Stick it on e-bay with low reserve price and it will sell.

The ebay suggestion is quite a good idea!
What car are you replacing it with?

Got myself a spangly Rover 45. Big car, looks nice, comfy, leather interiors, CD player, power-steering etc
I don't really want to stick it on e-bay simply cos of that fault with the lights. The car's only worth about £250 in good nick, so what with the lack of a service recently and the dodgy lights its not worth very much at all.
Better off as scrap if no-one else wants it. I might be able to get a few quid for it from a scrap dealer

Err, I think these days ridiculously, you have to pay scrap metal dealers to take cars, just to warn you.

Because of european regulations in scrapping cars and the environment you might have to pay to get rid of your car hence why there are so many burnt out cars on small country lanes being reported as stolen.

I know of somebody who buys cars to drive to the death of, they'll probably end up buying yours, lol. Shall I enquire?

If you think anyone would be interested then by all means let them know. I just don't want another car going to scrap when its still drivable, and could probably be fixed by someone who likes fixing cars. I know nothing at all about car repairs, so whilst Im sure that a lot of the little faults with it are probably fairly straightforward to repair, they're still beyond my capabilities
I've already stuck it on e-bay though with a min reserve of £75. Seller is Trez75
I know of someone else who may be interested by haven't heard back from her yet, would rather give it to her than someone I don't know but will see what she says. She might want something a bit more modern
